2016 has been a great year for Old Quebec Street Shoppes and we are proud of the role that we continue to play in maintaining the vibrant culture of our city.
We began this year by introducing our new website in hopes that it would serve as a source for all information regarding the community as well as a place to encourage the interconnectedness of Guelph. Our mission is to provide visitors with a memorable and authentic experience that is intertwined with the community’s history and we believe we accomplished exactly that.
With the help of our incredible community, we were able to host several events that encouraged people to come together in support of various causes and organizations. This year, we hosted the Children’s Foundation Brush-Off Art Elimination, the Hospice Wellington Art Therapy Exhibition and The Balloon Rhino Project. We proudly supported the Special Olympics, the Alzheimer’s Walk and CIBC Run for the Cure.
We were also pleased to throw a Christmas party! Old Quebec Street invited all of the Santa Claus Parade goers to celebrate at our Victorian Christmas (pictured above). A good time was had by one and all!
Old Quebec Street Mall is also proud to welcome a new shop, Discreetly Yours, Wigs and Accessories, to the shoppes in downtown Guelph. Discreetly Yours will open its doors in late December and will feature a broad spectrum of wigs and hair additions for women, men and children. Their mission is to provide products that truly improve the lives of their customers by assisting them to find the perfect hairstyles in the comfort of their private fitting room. Prosthetics for women, men and children who are going through chemotherapy and have hair loss will be available among the products in-store. Free private consultations and scheduled appointments will be available to those who prefer a greater degree of privacy.
The team at Old Quebec Street Mall would like to thank the Guelph community for making this year such a great success and for continuing to support our downtown shoppes.
