eMERGE & EcoMarket
Heading into its 11th year, eMERGE’s EcoMarket will be held at Old Quebec Street Shoppes on Saturday, March 24 from 10 am to 3 pm as well as packing St. George’s Square with electric vehicles (EVs).
Cars are a huge part of household climate change emissions and EVs can make a significant difference. “We want to introduce people to the technology and the experts that can dispel many of the myths surrounding EVs” said Steve Yessie, eMERGE’s EcoMarket Coordinator. The event will extend beyond EVs, showcasing a wide variety of exhibitors promoting green products, services and programs – ranging from food to cleaning products to home renovation services. “We see electric cars as part of the solution to climate change and believe that Guelph should commit to 100% renewable energy using cars as part of the solution” said Steve Yessie.
The EcoMarket is once again partnered with the City of Guelph’s H2O Go Festival, promoting water conservation, environmental stewardship and hosting a variety of games and workshops for families. As part of the annual Resilience Festival the eMERGE EcoMarket is one of several exciting events taking place in on March 24th. You may find more information here.
